Working Together to provide quality respite experiences VISION “Holiday Coast Respite Co-operative Limited will distribute respite funds equitably, to meet local needs within the Mid North Coast, by providing simplified access to the houses and flexible options for people with AIMS The aims of Holiday Coast Respite Co-operative are: · To provide accommodation and support to individuals for planned recreational periods of respite. · To provide flexibility and a range of choices for people to suit their needs. · To provide respite with a strong focus on enjoyment, leisure, relaxation and recreational activities. · To provide appropriate assessment and determination of needs to provide suitable options for people. · To ensure that people’s respite needs are met in a manner that respects the dignity, individuality and well-being of each person. · Provide service to the individual and their parent /carer. Providing planned respite support for parent/carers of people with a disability living on the mid north coast ABOUT US: Holiday Coast Respite Co-operative Limited is a cooperative of respite services covering the Mid North Coast funded by Ageing, Disability & Home Care, Dept of Human Services, NSW.
The use of the funding packages follow the guidelines of the Member Services and the Ageing, Disability & Home Care, Dept of Human Services, NSW (ADHC).
Holiday Coast Respite Co-operative Limited also operates respite houses in Forster and Coffs Harbour which have full disability access. These can be accessed by service users residing on the Mid North Coast.
More Information about respite Services, individual funding packages and the houses may be obtained by contacting any of the services listed, Holiday Coast Respite Co-operative Limited or visiting the website at: www.crespite.org.au ELIGIBILITY Children and adults with a disability (such as intellectual, physical, acquired brain injury, autism, developmental delay, neurological and sensory impairment) and their families who live on the Mid North Coast. Priority will be given to parent/carers who: · Are not currently receiving respite support. · Are financially disadvantaged. · Are sole or ageing parent/carers. · Are Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander or from a culturally or linguistically diverse background. · Are at risk of the care arrangement breaking down. · or Have complex and changing support needs. Eligible service users who are successful in receiving individual funding can plan their respite support needs in consultation with their local Service Provider.
