Mid North Coast (MNC) Area Respite Coordination Group (RCG) 

Terms Of Reference

  • Members of the Area RCG will be representatives of agencies across the MNC, which participate in the RCG process and provide respite or access to respite to people with disabilities as one of their primary services.
  • The Area RCG will three times a year in March, July & November.
  • The Area RCG will act as the central point of information/data collection and provide a direct line of communication with the respite service sytem and ADHC management .
  • The Area RCG will review and update standard aims, terms of reference, common principles, procedures, and temolates and forms on a regular basis to ensure consistency across the four RCG's.
  • The Area RCG will provide a reference group function for area, state and national planning initiatives in respite and other relevant service issues, eg transition to accommodation support, and where necessary, advise ADHC on best use of resources.  This function will be achieved by collection and collation of all relevant data including demographics, service provision and unmet respite needs etc. 
  • The Area RCG will work to increase information sharing, co-ordinated sector wide planning, and development of a wide range of models to meet individual needs.
  • THe Area RCG will also facilitate the systemic approach to problem solving and greater collaboration among respite services by developing a clear understanding of eligibilty, prioritisation, capacity and alloocation processes in all respite services.
  • The Area RCG will provide the opportunity for respite service providers to identify and raise sytemic contract management issues with ADHC.
  • RCG meetings will be organised and administratively supported by an agreed convenor.
